Half Lung - "The Pilot" on BBC Introducing with Kerrie Cosh

I was absolutely buzzing when we heard Half Lung's single "The Pilot" being played on BBC Introducing Three Counties & Northants with Kerrie Cosh. It was an incredible project to be part of, and I’m so grateful that Half Lung trusted me to build the track from the ground up right here in the studio. Bringing in the phenomenal drummer Stuart Pringle to help us with the rhythm section was the perfect final touch. Seeing all that hard work pay off with a play on BBC radio is exactly why I love what I do, and I’m beyond grateful to Half Lung for letting me be part of their amazing journey.

I recorded at Downbeat Studios in 2024 through to mid 2025 working on my first EP and Releases. From the word go it was a very welcoming and comfortable environment to be in, where any ideas can be thrown at the wall and with Lorenzo’s help translated into something useable instead of (in my case) random sounds you make with your mouth.
I’ve come away knowing ALOT more about music and writing from recording here, wether it be from being suggested bands to listen to or ideas that Lorenzo threw in the mix and the different ways to approach and look at certain parts and an additional bonus of annoyingly good coffee which has made me unable to drink my cheap stuff.
